Shadow Warrior's third installment sold nearly $1 million on Steam in its first month of release

According to GameSensor’s forecast, Shadow Warrior 3 sales amounted to about $1 million in the first month since its release on Steam. During the same period, about 40,000 copies of the game were sold on the platform.

Shadow Warrior 3 received mixed reviews from players who rated the game on Metacritic, as they gave it about 6 out of 10 points. Critics on the aggregator site gave the game a score of 71 out of a possible 100. As for Shadow Warrior 3's rating on Steam, it is average: users rated the game with 3 stars out of 5.

For the developer Flying Wild Hog, this is the eighth game and the first release in 12 months. If we compare Shadow Warrior 3 with its two previous titles Shadow Warrior and Shadow Warrior 2, the amount of sales of the third part of the game collected within the first month of release is almost 4 times less than the amount of sales of its second part during the same period. Shadow Warrior 3 received this result because of its relatively low rating, as the first two parts received positive reviews from players on both Steam (almost 5 stars out of 5) and Metacritic (8 out of 10).
